Miss Virginia Recital
An annual event to raise scholarship funds for the Miss Virginia pageant, this 9th annual recital was held once again at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Don Buckley. Beauty queens of all ages came to socialize and entertain guests and committee members. Raffle tickets were sold for prizes and auctions held to sell fabulous, uniquely decorated cakes. The cakes made by Jackie Moore excited participation. A ladybug cake auctioned for $100 was generously given back to be reauctioned, raising a second $100.
The Miss Virginia Pageant will be held in Roanoke on June 28th.
